Internationally Recognized
Dr. Assia Stepanian is a board-certified gynecologist and award-winning researcher, educator, and specialist in Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery (MIGS) — including uterine fibroids, adenomyosis, endometriosis, ovary-sparing surgery, reconstructive surgery, pelvic adhesions, Müllerian anomalies (whose classification she co-authored), and MRKH.
She founded SurgeryU, the world's first and largest collective online video-library in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, and co-authored the definitive classification of female genital malformations accepted by the International Federation of Gynecologists and Obstetricians. Her lectures and live web events have reached surgeons from every country of the United Nations. Her leadership has been recognized by the AAGL, including the Harry Reich Award, and she has been named an Honorary Professor with the Russian Federation Ministry of Health's V.I. Kulakov Federal Medical Scientific Center.
